MEET THE EXECUTIVE TEAM:
Fiona joined the PRI in 2013. She has overall responsibility for the PRI’s operations globally.
Fiona has more than 20 years' experience in the pension sector, working in particular within the Australian superannuation sector and played an active role in advocating pension policy change on behalf of working Australians and participated in a number of government committees and working groups on retirement incomes policy. Fiona has a particular interest in retirement outcomes for women.
Prior to joining the PRI, Fiona spent seven years as Chief Executive Officer at the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST). Fiona has formerly been a pension fund director/trustee of AUSfund and been on the boards of Industry Funds Credit Control, Australia for UNHCR, the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors and the National Women in Super Network. In September 2012, she was named by the Australian Financial Review as one of Australia’s top 100 women of influence for her work in public policy.
Fiona also serves on the Board of the UN Global Compact, the Council of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), , the Global Advisory Council on Stranded Assets at Oxford University, the UN Business for Peace Steering Committee and the Steering Committee for Investors on Climate Change.

Mark Blair, Chief Finance Officer
Mark joined the PRI in July 2010. He oversees the PRI's finances, including its commercial fundraising efforts, and internal technology systems.
For many years Mark was Chief Finance Officer of General Atlantic (the business arm of the Atlantic Philanthropies) in the UK and also CEO of a luxury goods division within the group. Mark began his professional career as an investment analyst in the City before becoming a Chartered Management Accountant. He has since combined several international Managing and Finance Director roles, predominantly in fashion, leisure, retail and online.
Mark is involved with Child's i Foundation, a charity dealing with baby abandonment in Uganda, which was set up in 2009.
Peter De Graaf, Chief Operating Officer
Peter De Graaf joined the PRI in December 2016 as Chief Operating Officer, with overall responsibility for key projects and strategic initiatives, coordination of the senior management team and the Communication & Events team.
Prior to joining the PRI, Peter spent seven years at management consultancy Carnstone Partners LLP as a Senior Partner, where he was responsible for the firm’s operational management including the coordination for the Senior Partner meetings and serving as Company Secretary. He also led the firm’s work on capital markets projects with clients and partners such as the Pension Protection Fund, Risk Metrics/MSCI and WHEB Asset Management.
Before joining Carnstone, Peter spent almost two years as Managing Director and Member of the Board at Trucost Plc. He also spent five years at FTSE, first as Managing Director EMEA and then as Managing Director for Public Affairs. Peter holds master's degrees in Politics and Economics from both the University of Amsterdam and the London School of Economics.
Kris Douma, Investment Practices and Engagements
Kris joined the PRI in January 2016. He is responsible for teams developing support tools to help investors implement the Principles.
Before joining the PRI, Kris was at NBA, the Dutch professional organisation for accountants, where he coordinated activities around the oversight of Dutch accountants following a series of scandals in the sector.
He spent more than seven years as Director of Responsible Investment and Governance at MN, a fiduciary asset manager for 15 Dutch and UK pension funds, and served in the Dutch parliament as a spokesperson for economic globalisation, the European Lisbon Process, European services directive, WTO (World Trade Organisation), ILO (International Labour Organisation), corporate social responsibility, corporate governance, accountancy and budget control.
Nathan Fabian, Policy and Research
Nathan joined the PRI in July 2015. He is responsible for work on more sustainable financial markets and the PRI Academy.
Nathan previously led the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) as CEO for six years, and spent two and a half years as Head of ESG Research at Regnan. He has also worked as a senior consultant for Arthur Andersen, as a market analyst at German-based telecommunications company Krone and as a corporate governance policy advisor to Senator Penny Wong of Australia.
Nathan holds an MA in International Relations from the University of New South Wales and a BBus. from the University of Newcastle.
Graeme Griffiths, Global Networks and Outreach
Graeme joined the PRI in 2016. He is jointly responsible for the PRI’s global outreach and signatory relations strategy.
Graeme has over 30 years’ professional experience in asset management and corporate finance. He was previously a senior member of the quality growth equities investment team at Vontobel Asset Management, prior to which he was a senior portfolio manager and head of currency overlay in the value equities team at Alliance Bernstein. Graeme was also a partner and head of European M&A at KPMG Corporate Finance, before which he was one of the founding members of the M&A advisory team at J.P. Morgan, where he worked for 16 years in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo and New York.
Graeme hold a BSc in Economics from LSE and an MSc in Management (Sloan Fellowship) with distinction from London Business School. He is a CAIA Charter Holder. He also serves as a business mentor for The Prince’s Trust and as a member of London Business School’s International Alumni Council. He has also served as an EU Trustee and as a non-executive director of Quebec Cartier Mining.

Lian Hillier, People & Culture
Lian joined the PRI in November 2016. She is responsible for the PRI’s HR strategy and manages HR practices across the organisation’s global offices.
Prior to joining the PRI, Lian was Director of People & Culture at Nesta where she was part of the executive board, providing strategic oversight of all HR and culture issues. During her eleven years there, Lian played a key role in a range of high-profile initiatives, including the organisation’s independence from the public sector.
Prior to this, she worked at the NHS and the Museum of London.
Lian holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and is a Chartered member of the CIPD.

Mandy Kirby, Reporting, Assessment and Accountability
Mandy joined the PRI in January 2014. She is responsible for ensuring that PRI investor signatories can report on their responsible investment activity and commitment to PRI Principles and ensuring their accountability, overseeing the Reporting Framework, system and outputs, and the analysis and use of the dataset.
Prior to joining the PRI, Mandy was Associate Director at Maplecroft, leading geographical and sector research projects and advising corporate clients on sustainability and corporate responsibility issues. She previously led the Europe and CIS country analysis team at business intelligence provider IHS Global Insight, and conducted economic forecasting.
Mandy holds a First Class BA from University College London.

Lorenzo Saà, Global Networks & Outreach
Lorenzo joined the PRI in 2009. He is co-responsible for the PRI’s global outreach and signatory relations strategy. Prior to his current role, Lorenzo led the Implementation Support, Investor Engagements and Reporting and Assessment teams.
Before joining the PRI, he held project manager and financial analyst roles at UniCredit and MicroRate, overseeing microfinance initiatives and advising on responsible investments. He also served as an independent consultant for development organisations such as the World Bank and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
He holds a BA in Business and Economics from the Università Cattolica, Milan, and a joint MBA/Masters in International Public Policy from SDA Bocconi, Milan and SAIS – Johns Hopkins, Washington, D.C.

Michaela White, Office Coordinator
Michaela joined the PRI in July 2016. In her role as Office Coordinator she takes care of the PRI’s UK office, including reception, administrative support and general office management. She also provides administrative support for three of the PRI Directors, assisting them where required, including, but not limited to, diary management and overseas travel.
Michaela holds a BA Hons degree in Education Studies from the University of Bedfordshire, and has worked within PA/office management roles for four years.
Sagarika Chatterjee, Policy and Research
Sagarika joined the PRI in 2013. She leads the PRI’s work on investor action on climate change.
Prior to the PRI, Sagarika worked for over ten years at BMO Global Asset Management (a founder signatory to the PRI), focusing on engagement with companies and incorporating ESG factors into investment practices. She has served as Vice-Chair of UKSIF and trustee of environmental research charity Earthwatch. She started her career at Kingfisher plc in a commercial role, sourcing timber for B&Q.
Sagarika serves in a personal capacity on the investment committee of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, an independent organisation working to inspire social change. She has an MSc in Development Studies from University of London, a Management Studies Diploma from the University of Oxford and a BA in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
Chris Fowle, Global Networks and Outreach, Americas
Chris joined the PRI in October 2016. He oversees outreach and signatory relations in North and Latin America.
Chris previously served as the Vice President of Investor Initiative for CDP, the former Carbon Disclosure Project, for North America. Chris has a background in finance, having worked at firms in New York and Tokyo including JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank and the former Lehman Brothers.
He holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BBA in Finance from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.

Tomi Nummela, Investment Practices
Tomi joined the PRI in January 2014. He oversees the development of support tools for investors implementing the Principles, including for investors making direct investments within each asset class, and for asset owners developing policies and working with external managers.
Tomi was previously a Programme Manager at the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, delivering a thought leadership programme for institutional investors. He previously held capital market roles at Société Générale as a Director responsible for corporate debt origination, at ABN AMRO Rothschild managing Nordic equity origination, and at ABN AMRO.
Tomi has an MSc in Finance from the University of Turku and an MBA in CSR from the University of Nottingham. He chairs a charity, The Bootstrap Company, running an active programme of support for young unemployed people, start-ups and small businesses.

Valeria Piani, ESG Engagements
Valeria joined the PRI in June 2008. She is responsible for a range of investor-company engagements on environmental, social and governance topics.
Before joining the PRI, Valeria worked in international development cooperation for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations Development Programme in Argentina. She also worked in Italy as consultant on corporate communications and CSR for multinational companies. Valeria graduated in International Public Administration and Development at the Luigi Bocconi Business School of Milan. She also completed a Master of Arts in CSR at the University of Nottingham Business School with a dissertation on the effectiveness of shareholders’ collaborative engagement activities with companies on ESG issues.
Her research has been published by the Business & Society Journal and Emerald Group Publishing and it has been selected by the editors as an Outstanding Author Contribution in the 2014 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence.

Christopher Sperling, Corporate Office
Christopher joined the PRI in 2011. He provides high-level support to the Managing Director and the PRI Board.
Christopher holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BA in History of Art from the School of Oriental and African Studies and University College London.
