PRI welcomes three new members to Fixed Income Advisory Committee
LONDON, 17 January 2017 – The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) is delighted to announce the appointment of three new signatory representatives to the Fixed Income Advisory Committee:
- Simon Beeny, Investment Manager - Listed Assets at HESTA
- Manuel Cañas, Deputy Head of Emerging Markets Debt at First State Investments
- Malcolm (Mac) Ryerse, Director, Responsible Investment at Columbia Threadneedle Investments
The Committee advises the PRI on the strategy and execution of the fixed income programme. For a full list of members and more information about the Committee’s duties, see here. Alongside an array of case studies and webinars on a range of topics relating to ESG and corporate, sovereign and other forms of debt, the PRI's major fixed income project for 2016/17 is to engage credit rating agencies to promote more systematic and transparent incorporation of ESG into credit ratings and analysis.
The new members are effective from the start of 2017, and replace signatory organisations that stepped down during 2016. The PRI would like to thank Jennifer Anderson (TPT Retirement Solutions) for the time and expertise that she dedicated to her role on the Committee.
The Committee’s outreach work will be supervised by Patrick Drum of Saturna Capital and its Bondholder Engagement Working Group will be supervised by Alex Struc of PIMCO. Signatories can sign up for monthly updates from the PRI Fixed Income Work Stream via the Signatory Portal. For any questions about the programme, contact Anna Georgieva.
